“May we find comfort in the treasured memories of those no longer with us.”
Elder Burchell Marshall (Feb 27, 1948 – Apr 25, 2025) was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, teacher, and servant of God. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and raised in Spanish Town, Burchell’s life was marked by quiet strength, humility, and purpose. A skilled welder and electrician, he served for 27 years at Caribbean Steel and later worked with Food For the Poor. His work ethic and integrity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
In 1995, alongside his wife Maureen, he co-founded Burmar Education Institute—a school built on faith, discipline, and a shared dream to empower young minds. Together, they also pastored the Apostolic Fellowship Church, leading with compassion and unwavering faith. Burchell was a proud father to five children—Martine, Chantelle, Jordan, Jermaine, and Jason—and a loving grandfather. His quiet wisdom, servant leadership, and deep faith touched countless lives.
He lived with purpose, served with humility, and led with love. His legacy is a testimony of a life well-lived and a faith deeply rooted in God. Rest in peace, Elder Burchell Marshall. Your light will continue to shine in the lives you've touched.
